Alithea Phillips

Head of Voice

Ms. Phillips holds a BFA with Honors from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her primary training was at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting where she studied voice with Robert Perillo and Angela Vitale. She has also studied voice and text extensively with Andrew Wade. Other teachers include, Patsy Rodenburg and Walton Wilson, and the Alexander Technique with Inbahl Zohar. Voice/Text coaching credits include: Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival: Cymbeline dir. Julie Taymour. Ms. Phillips has been teaching at Stella Adler since 1997 and became Head of the Department in 2007.
