Katharine Lorraine is an actor, director, and teaching artist living by the beach in Rockaway, New York. After four years of classical training at The Juilliard School (Group 42), they found themself performing in immersive, devised, and musical theater with NY credits including Social! (Park Avenue Armory), Sleep No More (Punchdrunk), We Are Here (Steven Hoggett, Spiegelworld), The Gray Man (Pipeline Theatre Company), and The Bad Years (Kerrigan and Lowdermilk). Katharine directed The Winter’s Tale (Juilliard, Beyond the Machine), Apartment 3A, The Columnist (Stella Adler), assistant directed The Visitation (Witness.) Whether singing drunkenly in a warehouse in Brooklyn, disco dancing on a dumpster at La Mama, or telling ghost stories in a mysterious hotel, Katharine prioritizes both playfulness and honesty. She brings that same energy to teaching – focusing primarily on imagination, inquiry, and how we nurture our creative selves.
