Originally from Texas, Christa has worked professionally as an actor, producer, director, administrator, and teacher. Selected NY acting credits include: A Name for a Ghost to Mutter (dir: Judson Jones), Harvest (dir: Benard Cummings), Umbrella (dir: Padraic Lillis),The Soldier Dreams (dir: Judson Jones); Awake and Sing!, The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, The Three Sisters, Our Town (Harold Clurman Lab Theater, dir: Tom Oppenheim); The Whale (Harold Clurman Lab Theater, dir: Luis-Daniel Morales). Regional: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Desire Under the Elms, Hedda Gabler. Producer: co-founder/Associate Artistic Director, Theatre East. In addition to teaching Voice & Speech and serving as Director of Teen and Young Artists Programs, Christa serves as a voice/dialect coach on productions. She is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers’ Association (VASTA), the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), and Actors’ Equity Association.
