Casey Robinson

Movement

Casey Robinson is a physical theater artist whose work emphasizes a virtuosic collaborative ensemble. Derived from the teachings of Grotowski and Meyerhold, Casey utilizes a rigorous body-first training method to expand the actor’s dramatic instinct and physical connection to imagination. He is co-founder of Cloud of Fools Theater Company, a collective of artists whose work seeks to reenergize the direct connection of actor to audience through the development of an ensemble-based physical language in the absence of grand spectacle. As an actor and director, Casey has collaborated on a number of New York and international projects with artists such as Jose Rivera, Niky Wolcz, Daniel Irrizary, and Jonathan Moscone, and has been a frequent choreographer and fight director with Classic Stage Company. Casey holds an M.F.A. from Columbia University’s School of the Arts.
