Casey Wilson (’02) in Apple TV’s Dark Comedy ‘The Shrink Next Door’

Casey Wilson (Class of 2002) joins Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Kathryn Hahn in Apple TV’s new dark comedy series ‘The Shrink Next Door’ premiering on November 12, 2021. Inspired by true events documented in the Wondery and Bloomberg Media podcast of the same name, ‘The Shrink Next Door’ is described as an eight-episode dark comedy following the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin “Marty” Markowitz (Ferrell). Wilson will star as Bonnie, the wife of Dr. Herschkopf.

Alum Produced Film ‘American Insurrection’ Picked Up for Theatrical Release and On-Demand Nationwide

After winning the Audience Award at the Lower East Side Film Festival this past summer, the alum produced film ‘American Insurrection’ was picked up for distribution by Saban Films to be released in theaters on October 8th and available nationally with on-demand streaming services. The film is written and directed by alum Will Sullivan (Class of 2010) and stars fellow classmates Sarah Wharton and Jarret Kerr.

Sonia Sanchez’s Poem Featured in ‘Lovecraft Country’

Board Member Sonia Sanchez’s gripping poem “Catch the Fire” was featured in this past week’s episode of the HBO series Lovecraft Country. Sanchez’s poem was also set to music beautifully composed as a requiem by the show’s soundtrack composer Laura Karpman.
